About this grant
This grant will allow the Corporation for Enterprise Development to advocate for federal policies that increase low-income people’s access to credit and technical assistance to start and operate small businesses. Some of the activities to be pursued during the grant period include convening the Microenterprise Anti-Poverty Policy Consortium, a multiagency effort to inform public policy of the poverty reducing impacts of microenterprise; promoting microenterprise as an eligible economic activity under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program; and expanding federal investment in microenterprise programs through the Small Business Administration’s business assistance and lending program.
