About this grant
Established in 2000, Smart Growth America is a nationwide network of organizations working to protect natural areas and environmental health, revitalize communities, and increase transportation and housing choices. Its recent work includes initiation of Transportation for America, an effort that seeks to inform federal transportation policy discussions through engaging state and local organizations. With this grant, Smart Growth America will connect Michigan organizations to the federal transportation discussions as part of the Transportation for America activity. This work will help ensure that the state’s interests and needs are addressed at the federal level and that state groups are adequately prepared for effective implementation of the emerging transportation policies.
