About this grant
The program goal is to support the community foundation movement in Romania. To this end, the Association for Community Relations, in partnership with the Romanian Federation of Community Foundations, will provide funding and technical assistance to strengthen the 12 existing community foundations in Romania. In addition, the grantee will initiate and support the development of new community foundations in at least four locations over the next two years. The grantee’s activities will include promoting the community foundation concept, assisting local groups during the registration process, and providing funding and technical assistance to the newly established community foundations. During the previous two years, the grantee helped to establish one new community foundation and supported eight initiative groups to explore community foundation development. Also, the grantee supported the development of local philanthropy and individual giving. The grantee is based in Cluj-Napoca.
