About this grant
Founded in 1996, the Keweenaw Land Trust has protected over 3,000 acres in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, which extends into Lake Superior — the largest freshwater lake in the world. With previous Mott support, the trust worked to build its own organizational capacity while implementing conservation, stewardship, and educational programs to protect and restore the Keweenaw Peninsula’s important natural areas and watersheds. With renewed Mott support, the trust will continue these efforts and will also invest in board and staff development.
