About this grant
The Grand Vision is a blueprint for Traverse City and six adjacent counties in northwest Michigan that seeks to maintain the traditional character of the region’s small towns and natural landscapes, while working to bring new prosperity to the region. The product of more than three years of work by thousands of citizens, business leaders, and elected officials, the Grand Vision integrates environmental, transportation, and development interests. The Rotary Charities of Traverse City, a public organization focused on the welfare of the Traverse City region, has been crucial to the development of the Grand Vision. With support from Mott, the grantee will help lead coordination and communication efforts to implement the Grand Vision and sustain broad community support for it.
