About this grant

This project supports the Inter-Press Service in Montevideo, Uruguay to increase the quality and quantity of journalistic coverage of Brazilian, and increasingly Chinese, financing of energy and infrastructure in South America and globally. This project will continue to pay particular attention to exploring the role that Brazil plays in large-scale energy investments through its national bank and the New Development Bank founded by Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. IPS-Inter Press Service is a global news agency operating in more than 100 countries that has been working in Latin America for four decades and has a network of journalists reporting from every country in the region.
