About this grant
The Centre for Leadership and Dialogue at the Gordon Institute of Business Science develops leaders and hosts strategic dialogues to discuss the most urgent and complex challenges facing South Africa and the world. Over the last few years, the grantee has developed a reputation for excellence as one of South Africa’s leading centers for learning and debate in social entrepreneurship and nongovernmental organization leadership. This grant will support the centre’s Social Entrepreneurship Program to strengthen the leaders of South African nonprofits and enable them to lead vibrant and relevant institutions. The grantee will host dialogues and seminars on themes related to strengthening the voice of civil society; asset based, community-driven development; and building local philanthropy. It will also provide an online platform for networking among nonprofits, and for accessing materials and resources from around the world on nonprofit development.
