About this grant

SGS Consulting is a for-profit consultancy firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has been in operation for over 15 years. It has provided consultancy services to organizations including United Nations agencies, regional economic commissions across Africa, civil society organizations, and bilateral and multilateral agencies. The Technical Support and Dialogue Platform project was initiated in 2010 to provide technical support to Mott Foundation grantees in South Africa and offer them opportunities to convene around issues of common interest. Past support enabled the grantee to provide organizational development and other institution building support to civil society organizations that work within the themes of building philanthropy and providing access to social justice for poor people. Over the next year, the grantee will continue to support organizations that work in these sectors to network, dialogue on topical and relevant issues, and improve their delivery of programs. It will also engage government, the private sector and academic institutions to explore linkages with nonprofit organizations in the delivery of development programs.
