About this grant
SGS Consulting is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. It has provided consultancy services to organizations including various United Nations agencies, other multilateral agencies, civil society organizations, and private foundations. The Technical Support and Dialogue Platform project began in 2010 to provide technical support to civil society organizations in South Africa and offer them opportunities to convene around issues of common interest. Past support enabled the grantee to provide organizational development and other institution building assistance to civil society organizations working in the community advice office and philanthropy development sectors. Activities included providing opportunities for organizations to network, hosting dialogues on topical and relevant issues, commissioning research on areas of interest, and assisting organizations to improve on their delivery of programs. This grant will support the grantee to work with organizations active in the community advice office and philanthropy development fields to help them deal with various institutional capacity challenges and to facilitate growth in these fields.
