About this grant

PolicyWorks for Philanthropy is a multiyear initiative of the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers that seeks to build the capacity of its members’ staff, board, and volunteer leaders to engage policymakers in support of a vibrant and effective philanthropic sector. Since its launch in 2009, the initiative has strengthened the capacity of 20 regional associations to engage policymakers on public policies of interest to their members. Over the next two years, the initiative will continue to raise awareness, build capacity, and catalyze action of regional associations of grantmakers and their members to engage with policymakers. The Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers is a national network of 35 members that collectively represent more than 4,300 foundations, corporate giving programs, and other philanthropic organizations. PolicyWorks is a key part of the grantee’s long-term strategy to ensure that philanthropy is understood and appreciated by officials at all levels of government.
