About this grant

This grant supports the work of IssueLab, an organization which archives, shares, and advocates for broader mobilization of nonprofit knowledge. The grantee archives nonprofit research in a way that is optimized for search engine indexing across all listings; locates and archives hard-to-find research from smaller organizations; provides free and open online access to all research in its collection; archives work in 34 different issue areas enabling users to relate work across traditional issue silos; provides search tools that allow users to filter the collection on multiple dimensions; offers editorial and curatorial services that help users to summarize findings and understand specific fields of practice; makes extensive cross referencing available, enabling users to more easily find similar and related research; and advocates for the broad use of open licenses by nonprofits and foundations and the overall adoption of open access standards. In 2010, IssueLab will continue, expand, and improve this work.
