About this grant
This grant supports the membership and administrative costs of the Network of European Foundations for Innovative Cooperation, a nonprofit membership association based in Brussels. Its goal is to strengthen philanthropic cooperation among foundations, associations, and other nongovernmental organizations in Europe. During the next year, the grantee will manage a range of initiatives in which major European foundations collaborate on projects addressing key issues and geographies, including children and violence, integration and migration, dementia, the Balkans, and Tunisia. During 2016, a core staff of two in Brussels will manage the grantee and organize regular meetings of the board and the general assembly. In 2015, the grantee managed a portfolio of 12 initiatives and external projects. The grantee currently has 11 members and engages many other foundations, public donors, and other types of philanthropic organizations in its projects.
