About this grant
This grant to INESC aims to strengthen citizen oversight of the role of the Brazilian government in financial sector reform and provide input into international debates concerning financial regulation regimes that reduce risk and increase opportunity for sustainable development. The project will strengthen the capacity of nongovernmental organizations in Brazil, particularly the members of the Brazil Network on multilateral financial institutions, to monitor and analyze the participation of the Brazilian government in the financial reform efforts of the Group of 20 nations. It will build on a decade of experience with international financial institutions to generate informational materials in Portuguese for organizations in Brazil and complement this information with capacity building workshops and coordination with national and international networks promoting meaningful international financial sector reform.
