About this grant
More than half of Wisconsin’s population lives within the Great Lakes watershed. This freshwater ecosystem provides residents with an array of important social, recreational, and economic benefits. Clean Wisconsin is a statewide environmental organization that seeks to protect and restore Great Lakes waterways. With previous Mott support, the grantee helped implement the Great Lakes Compact, reduce pollution into Great Lakes waterways, and protect groundwater resources. With renewed support, the grantee will continue these efforts while developing staff leadership skills and improving public outreach strategies.
