About this grant

The Michigan Environmental Council, a statewide environmental organization representing more than 70 partner groups, has become deeply engaged in transportation policy issues in recent years. With the council as lead coordinator and convener, this grant will build a transportation reform partnership in Michigan that includes a diverse network of key organizations from across the state. The grant will support work to move Michigan toward a seamless, multimodal transportation system; increase investment in underfunded modes that expand transportation access; foster citizen engagement in transportation policy decisions; and improve the connection between transportation planning and community economic development.
