About this grant
Since 1986, Wellness AIDS Services, Inc., has been providing Genesee County with two main types of services: 1) HIV/AIDS prevention information and skill-building activities; and 2) resource coordination and counseling services for those who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. The grantee provides resource coordination and counseling services to more than 250 clients each year and is the only organization in Genesee County that provides this particular service. Over the years, the grantee has helped thousands of individuals by tailoring its outreach, testing, education, and training programs for the most at-risk populations. This grant will enable the grantee to pay off the debt owed on its facility and ensure that the organization is able to continue providing high level services to the Flint community.
