Strengthening Institutional Capacity to Provide ICT Support to NGOs in CEE

About this grant

The project goal is to strengthen the capacity of nongovernmental organizations in Central and Eastern Europe to access modern information and communication technologies and use them effectively to increase the impact of their work. Fundacja TechSoup, in partnership with leading local nonprofits, will deliver comprehensive training programs in the effective use of information and communication technologies, build a strong infrastructure for distributing technology products to nongovernmental organizations in the region, and provide technical assistance to communities of practitioners utilizing technology for civic activism. Over the past two years, the grantee expanded its network of technology-oriented nongovernmental organizations in the region and organized a series of online and offline events, including workshops on the effective use of information and communication technologies for over 1,400 participants. The grantee also organized software donations with an estimated value of $12 million to over 2,000 nonprofit organizations in the region. The grantee is based in Warsaw, Poland.
