Promoting Sustainability in Energy and Infrastructure Investments in Latin America

About this grant

The Interamerican Association for Environmental Defense is a nonprofit environmental law and policy organization in Latin America and the United States that participates in the regional processes and international negotiations to guide sustainable energy and infrastructure investments in Latin America. Over the previous grant period, the grantee worked to ensure that national and international financial institutions applied strong social and environmental standards to energy infrastructure development finance in Latin America. Over the next grant period, the grantee will engage in a review of the social and environmental framework of a major regional development bank in Latin America and disseminate information and analysis of international best practice for environmental impact review processes.
