About this grant
The program goal is to build the capacity of an important, London-wide community foundation to raise funds from wealthy individuals and the business community. To this end, the Mott Foundation will provide partial support for a development manager position at the Capital Community Foundation. This staff member will play an important role in attracting new fundholders and donors; launching the London Community Foundation; improving donor care systems; and building the profile of the organization through events, marketing, and social media. The grantee’s mission is to improve the communities of London by supporting people’s ideas and initiatives. The grantee was established in 1995 as the South East London Community Foundation. In 2005, the grantee changed its name and its area of benefit to the whole of London.
