Texas Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the United Ways of Texas which coordinates the Texas Statewide Afterschool Network. The Texas Statewide Afterschool Network will focus on building capacity for long-term success and advancing systemic change for afterschool and expanded learning in Texas. Over the next three years, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool and expanded learning programs. The network’s specific initiatives will include: 1) developing a Quality Improvement System for out-of-school time programs; 2) working to secure a state-level funding stream for afterschool programs; and 3) building the capacity of programs through partnerships with funders, regional networks, and education policy leaders.
