About this grant
The Nonprofits Integrating Community Engagement project will help nonprofits learn to build civic capacity by partnering with the communities they serve and where they work. To this end, the Alliance for Nonprofit Management will partner with the Building Movement Project to develop state-of-the-art materials, tools, case examples, and training modules. The grantee will also create venues to distribute the resultant resources to support organizations and communities that embrace this approach. The Building Movement Project is an initiative that encourages nonprofit service providers to enhance civic engagement and social change, promote the common good, and address generational shifts in leadership. The Alliance for Nonprofit Management, a membership association that delivers management and governance support services to nonprofit organizations, will manage the Nonprofits Integrating Community Engagement project. This project builds on past Mott support to the Building Movement Project, which developed a methodology for how service providers can support resident engagement.
