About this grant
This grant will enable Career Alliance, Inc., to continue the Jobs for America’s Graduates program at two Flint-area high schools. In 2011, the grantee piloted this national school-to-work program model at Flint Northern and Northwestern high schools as a targeted dropout prevention program for students who are most at-risk of dropping out of school. In the pilot year, more than 80 students were provided a series of year-round classroom and work-based learning experiences from academic and counseling supports to skills training and summer employment. Recommended support will allow Career Alliance, Inc., to strengthen and expand the Jobs for America’s Graduates program at these two high schools.
