About this grant
This grant provides partial support for the third phase of the Cultivating Community Engagement project. In the first phase, CFLeads convened a national panel that oversaw and contributed to the development of a case statement and key practices for resident engagement by community foundations. In the second phase, eight community foundation teams participated in a learning network to advance their own resident engagement practices. This led to case studies and a guidebook that were broadly disseminated throughout the United States community foundation field. The third phase will consist of a peer learning program for eight to ten Michigan community foundations to help them advance their community leadership and resident engagement practices. Afterwards, the grantee will produce a summary report and a video highlighting a story of impact from one of the participating foundations. CFLeads is a national learning cooperative that advocates for and advances the practice of community leadership among community foundations.
