About this grant

The Alliance for Excellent Education increases educational opportunities for young people through digital learning in afterschool programs. At the forefront of educational approaches, digital learning will play an increasingly important role in how students learn, and will enable afterschool programs to deliver new learning opportunities in the future. The grantee seeks to ensure that digital learning is effective, particularly for struggling secondary school students, and to support afterschool programs, school districts, and communities to provide their students with these beneficial experiences that help accelerate their academic achievement. Specifically, this project will include: 1) development of a research and policy brief that examines the role of digital learning in supporting disadvantaged students; and 2) dissemination of policy recommendations and best practices to the education and afterschool fields.
