About this grant
This grant will allow the Afterschool Alliance to increase the quality and visibility of afterschool programs through building a network of AmeriCorps VISTAs skilled in afterschool issues. The VISTAs will work to enhance the capacity of the statewide afterschool networks and increase implementation of afterschool meals programs. Additionally, the grantee will expand the scope of the AmeriCorps VISTA program by hosting several additional VISTAs focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning opportunities within the afterschool field.
