About this grant

This grant will provide partial support to the Bipartisan Policy Center to investigate through interviews, roundtable discussions, and policy research if conditions are favorable for launching a larger initiative to reformulate workforce development policy in the United States. Despite persistent high unemployment, the country continues to lack a coordinated workforce development system or even a consensus of who is responsible for training the nation’s workforce. The results from this effort will inform practitioners, policymakers, and funders on the potential ways for reforming and reformulating the myriad of programs that currently constitute our country’s investments in developing a skilled workforce.
