About this grant
In just over a decade, China has emerged as one of the most important trade and investment partners for Latin American nations. While there has been research on the economic impacts for developing countries from Chinese overseas investment, there has been relatively little attention to how this investment contributes to or impedes sustainable development in developing countries. Through this project, Tufts University researchers will track and analyze China’s investment activities in Latin America and its impact on sustainable development. In addition, the project will help to establish a working group to ensure that the research reaches local communities and policymakers.
