About this grant
ActionAid USA addresses key policies related to poverty reduction and sustainable development globally. It is part of ActionAid International, which has member organizations that are working in more than 40 countries to fight poverty. Through this project, ActionAid USA will work to increase civil society presence and leadership at leaders’ meetings and parallel events of BRICS grouping (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa); ensure that nongovernmental organizations from BRICS countries play a greater role in advocacy at the Group of 20 and United Nations climate negotiations; and increase advocacy in BRICS countries on their governments’ policies related to sustainable development, international economic governance, and development finance. This grant will focus on undertaking research, developing a policy agenda, creating education and communication tools, and developing an international nongovernmental organization network.
