About this grant
This grant supports the creation of the first comprehensive atlas of the international community foundation movement. As part of its contribution to the 100th anniversary of the community foundation field in 2014, the Cleveland Foundation is partnering with the Foundation Center, the Global Fund for Community Foundations, the Worldwide Initiatives for Grantmaker Support, and several data and communications specialists to develop a freely accessible, international online platform of information about community foundations worldwide. Through extensive surveying and research, data is being collected, interpreted, and field-tested. Besides data, the atlas will tell the stories of community foundations around the world through rich and compelling narratives and photos. This grant increase will support activities related to boosting the survey response rate from underrepresented regions around the world and subsequent additional analysis and writing. Founded in 1914, the Cleveland Foundation is the nation’s oldest community foundation.
