About this grant

The project goal is to increase the level and effectiveness of private philanthropy in Southeast Europe. To this end, the Zing Foundation, also known as Bolder Giving, will provide support to key Mott grantees in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey and will strengthen their capacity to use donor storytelling as an effective strategy for increasing local giving. In addition, the grantee will identify and profile diaspora donors from these four countries to inspire them to give back to causes in their countries of origin. Also, the grantee will prepare a toolkit on storytelling strategies and techniques for its partners and other interested nonprofits. The grantee will also experiment with donor education Webinars for donors and foundation leaders interested in strategic philanthropy in these four countries. Since its launch in 2007, the grantee has been inspiring and supporting people to engage in philanthropic work at their full lifetime potential. During the past grant period, the grantee provided training and consultancy to key Mott grantees in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey and supported them to develop and publicize 35 inspirational donor stories from the four countries.
