About this grant
The South African Institute for Advancement, also known as Inyathelo, was established in 2002 to promote the development of a strong and sustainable civil society sector in South Africa. It provides training, resources, information, and networking opportunities to nonprofits to improve their capacity and sustainability. The Non-Profit Clinic provides one-on-one mentoring, training, and advice to nonprofits, with a specific focus on sustainability. Over the past two years, the grantee provided training that builds an organization’s ability to engage with its internal and external environment to attract resources. It also hosted leadership retreats and peer-to-peer learning workshops to improve the capacity of nonprofits and made resource materials available to supported organizations. This grant will continue to support the grantee to provide technical support and advice to organizations that require assistance, conduct training on advancement, and host workshops on topical issues affecting civil society organizations.
