About this grant
The Council of Great Lakes Governors is a nonprofit organization that facilitates cooperation between the governors of eight Great Lakes states and the premiers of two Canadian provinces. With Mott support, the grantee organized last year’s summit entitled, Strengthening Our Economy and Protecting Our Great Lakes, which convened governors and premiers to discuss collaborative approaches to Great Lakes’ challenges, such as aquatic invasive species. With renewed Mott support, the grantee will reconvene Great Lakes’ leaders in Quebec City, Canada. The summit is entitled, Connecting Across Borders, and will focus on issues related to Great Lakes ecosystem health, transportation, and trade.
