About this grant

In 2014 and 2015, Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa took steps to formalize the New Development Bank, a process that has been in formation for the past seven years. ActionAid Brasil, founded in 1999 and a member of the international ActionAid network, has been monitoring this new development finance institution and building capacity to engage and influence the Brazilian participation in this alliance. This grant renewal would support the grantee to consolidate and continue its work to achieve and strengthen social and environmental standards governing international financial flows, particularly from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The grantee will also strengthen its network of nongovernmental organizations participating in related international dialogues.
