About this grant
This grant will enable Mott Community College to continue Restart, an intensive short-term program designed to elevate students’ literacy and readiness levels. The goal is to reconnect participants to education on a path toward obtaining a high school diploma or GED, and pursuing higher education or employment opportunities. In addition to the learning component of the program, eligible students have the opportunity to apply for water distribution employment through Flint WaterWorks. Further, Restart staff will direct participants and their families impacted by water to information and service providers.
