About this grant
This grant will enable the Mozilla Foundation to support the afterschool field in developing online badges, a symbol or indicator of an accomplishment, skill, competency, or interest, for youth in afterschool programs. Specifically, this grant will support the further development of: 1) the system supports and infrastructure needed for online badges; and 2) the capacity of afterschool programs to create and offer badges. Through incorporating new education technology opportunities, this project seeks to help youth more easily demonstrate the skills they acquire in afterschool and out-of-school time programs.
