About this grant
Manufacturing of advanced energy products, such as renewable energy and energy efficiency, already contributes more than $7 billion to Michigan’s economy, but the state could be doing much more in this economic sector. A number of market and policy barriers exist that are holding the sector back. The Institute for Energy Innovation, a Michigan-based nonprofit focused on promoting greater public understanding of advanced energy and its economic potential for Michigan, will research and publish a report on the barriers impeding the deployment of advanced energy technologies and business models in Michigan.
