About this grant
This grant will provide operating support to the Flint Public Library. The grantee has been an institution in the Flint community since 1851. An average of 750 patrons visit the Flint Public Library each day utilizing services such as the Internet and computer training, research assistance, job searching, and resume creation. The grantee has a strong influence in the Flint community serving all citizens of varying ages, race, and income levels. With over 60 percent of cardholders being families, the grantee begins reaching out to citizens at a young age. There are many programs provided at no cost to the public and library cardholders accommodating patrons of all ages and points in life.
