About this grant
The Casual Workers Advice Office was established in 2011 to give free legal advice to workers who have been dismissed or face other labor violations by their employers. The grantee trains paralegals from community-based advice offices on how to use the materials it has produced on worker rights and other labor matters and assists them when dealing with challenging labor cases. This grant will assist the Casual Workers Advice Office to advise and support workers whose labor rights have been violated, train advice offices on labor laws and support them with labor cases, conduct research around factors that inhibit women from asserting and defending their labor rights, and offer free advice on labor rights.
