About this grant
The National College Access Network is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to build, strengthen, and empower communities committed to college access and success so that all students, especially those from low-income, minority, and/or immigrant communities, can achieve college success. Given heightened attention on the issues of college completion and affordability, the grantee believes it is an opportune time to educate states and college completion stakeholders about ways to increase the effectiveness of financial aid policies as a tool to increase college enrollment and completion. With this grant, the grantee will work through its membership structure to encourage states — with a specific emphasis on Midwest states — to embed early awareness and commitment strategies within their existing need- and merit-based financial aid programs.
