About this grant
Funding will support a team of consultants who specialize in urban public libraries to assist in the strategic planning of the Flint Public Library. Founded in 1851, the grantee is a historical institution in the city of Flint. The grantee plays a pivotal role in the community by filling technology gaps, assisting residents with job applications, teaching children how to read, and much more. With property taxes in Flint falling 69 percent in the past five years, the grantee has lost a large portion of public funding.
