About this grant
The State of the Nonprofit Sector Annual Survey was initially created by the Nonprofit Finance Fund as a collective effort to understand the impact that the 2008 recession had on nonprofit organizations and their communities. At present, it is a key resource that is providing United States nonprofit sector stakeholders and the public with timely data on trends, challenges, opportunities, and actions in the whole nonprofit sector as well as in subsectors and geographic regions. This grant will support the exploration of opportunities to refine and improve the integrity of the processes and methodology applied in the survey and an analysis of the representativeness of the data collected. Founded in 1980, the Nonprofit Finance Fund is a leading community development financial institution that helps organizations connect money to mission effectively, and supports innovations such as growth capital campaigns, cross-sector economic recovery initiatives, and impact investing.
