About this grant

This grant renewal will support efforts by Instituto Socioambiental to promote distributed renewable energy access solutions for isolated Amazon communities in Brazil and overcome barriers to the expansion of clean energy in isolated communities. Over the past project period, the grantee organized the first renewable energy access fair and policy symposium, bringing together communities from the greater Amazon rainforest, the private sector, and government. This renewal will support the grantee to work with energy regulators and develop monitoring and management systems of renewable energy models in isolated Amazon communities.
