About this grant
The Instituto Socioambiental works to implement sustainable and renewable energy for local communities in three of Brazil’s poorest and most isolated regions in the Amazon Rainforest. This project proposes to support efforts to implement a set of decentralized renewable energy solutions in these regions coupled with a structured dialogue with public policymakers to overcome regulatory and financial barriers to providing clean energy to isolated communities.
