About this grant

The Center for Neighborhood Technology works with cities to provide research, tools, and solutions to advance sustainable and equitable communities. Based in Chicago, the organization has focused much of its work on water resource challenges in the Great Lakes region. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee has provided workshops and technical assistance on water infrastructure challenges for Great Lakes cities, including Dearborn, Flint, and Gary. The Center has reached out nationally to share findings and seek additional solutions to advance policies and programs to enhance affordability and environmental sustainability. With additional support, the Center will convene and provide customized technical support for five Great Lakes cities and disseminate innovation strategy guides as resources for other Great Lakes cities.
