Afterschool and Community Schools Initiative

About this grant

This project will support the Children’s Aid Society National Center for Community Schools to advance afterschool programs as part of a community school strategy. Specifically, this grant will support the center to: 1) develop tools for community schools’ directors to provide better support and information on creating community schools, including how to establish quality afterschool programs; 2) develop and implement a Community School Directors Institute; 3) support the center in providing technical assistance to grantees of the Full-Service Community School grant program, including the establishment of afterschool programs; and 4) provide support to the statewide afterschool networks on community schools.
