About this grant
Shelter of Flint, Inc., provides services for approximately 1,300 homeless people per year. The vast majority of these clients are families who are economically challenged. The principal goal of the agency is to assist the homeless in achieving stability through a continuum of care model ranging from crisis prevention and counseling to elimination of the root causes of homelessness. This grant will help to support the grantee’s Comprehensive Emergency Assistance Program, which focuses on clients housed in the emergency shelter. Individuals and families will receive food and shelter assistance, as well as comprehensive case management services and the development of long-range plans toward permanent stability.
