About this grant
The Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum is an association of 27 local and international donors working in Ukraine. Since its establishment in 2004, the grantee has strengthened philanthropy by improving the level and effectiveness of philanthropic giving and by raising the profile and capacity of its members. Its overall strategic priorities are to: 1) advocate for a favorable legal and fiscal framework for charitable activity; 2) increase public trust toward philanthropy in society; and 3) build the professional capacity of the philanthropic sector. During 2015-2016, the grantee will provide professional support for volunteer initiatives, charitable organizations, and philanthropic institutions, many of which are newly emerged or in the process of reorienting their activities due to the current conflict in Ukraine; advocate for a policy environment for philanthropic and volunteer activity that conforms to European standards; and increase its capacity to act as an informational and professional hub for mass media, volunteers, and charitable institutions on current trends of philanthropic sector development. The grantee is based in Kyiv.
