About this grant
The program goal is to support scholarly research that provides the basis for constructive public policy development for philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. Launched in 2010 at Georgia State University, the "Nonprofit Policy Forum", now a project of the Cleveland State University Foundation, is a professional journal that addresses public policy issues as they affect or are influenced by nonprofit organizations. Starting in 2016, the journal will be housed at the Center for Nonprofit Policy & Practice at Cleveland State University. The center serves the nonprofit sector through training and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations, scholarly and applied research, and education in the leadership and management of nonprofit organizations. Grant support will allow an increase of the annual number of issues from two to four, the provision of open access status, growth in readership and the flow of high quality manuscripts from scholars, and a transition to a broader base of continuous support, primarily from subscriptions and institutional sponsorships.
