About this grant
To transform the energy sector, it is necessary to account for diverse energy needs. Individuals, households, and communities require energy services in different forms in order to meet a variety of basic, livelihood, and societal needs. The challenge is to engage civil society, community, and business groups to ensure that their concerns are addressed so that actual transformation of the energy sector and increased energy access occurs. Through this project, World Wildlife Fund-US will work with World Wildlife Fund offices in key African countries. These groups will convene a series of workshops and consultations to assist in those African countries in the development of action agendas for transforming their energy sectors as well as ensuring energy access.
