About this grant
This project will support the World Wildlife Fund and its partner, World Wildlife Fund Brazil, to continue working with forest-dwelling communities living in sustainable development reserves in the Amazon to design and implement a renewable energy, microgeneration development model. This experience and key government agency partnerships are being built to develop a national public policy for distributed renewable electrification of low-impact economic activities for traditional forest communities in the Brazilian Amazon. World Wildlife Fund Brazil has been working on environmental conservation and sustainable development in the region since 1971.
